Nelly was born on 9 April 1917 in Dongen NL. She died on 20 May 1999 in London ON Canada. She married Lauran on 5 January 1942 in Tilburg, NL.
Lauran was born on 19 October 1913 in Tilburg, NL and died in London, ON on 23 June 1973. In Holland he was a foreman in a wool factory and in Canada he was an insurance agent and owned a cleaning company. He was the son of Harry Ketelaars and Maria van de Velde.

Jan was born on 12 October 1884 in Oosterhout, NL and died on 15 February 1926 in Breda. He was a house painter, the son of Piet Willems and Antonia Blewanus. Drieka married for the second time with Sebastian Hubertus (Bas) van Alphen.

After Anna died, he married twice more: first with Maria Catharina van Gool on 31 July 1884 and next with Hendrina van Ham on 29 Sep 1892, both times in Oosterhout. Anna Cornelia was the daughter of Wouter van Ham and Catharina Zopfi.

Maria was born on 10 January in The Hague, NL and died on 16 March 1841 in Oosterhout, NL. She was a "mutsenwasser" (she washed bonnets). Maria married Anthonie on 3 May 1827 in Oosterhout. Anthonie was born in Oosterhout on 7 February 1803 and died on 9 October 1853 in Spaarnwoude, where he worked on the drying of the Haarlem polder. He was the son of Cornelius Coreman and Anna Kauwelaer.

He also lived for a while in Gastel NL. He married Petronella in The Hague NL on 20 December 1794 and died in Waalwijk on 18 March 1832. Petronella was baptized on 24 January 1767 in The Hague and died in Baardwijk NL on 5 May 1843. She was the daughter of Johannes Herdings and Ida van Ooyen.

She was the daughter of Petrus van Valckenburg and Anna Steens.

He married Gertrudis on 30 November 1737 at St. Willibrord in Antwerp, where his brother Jacobus was witness. Gertrudis was baptized at St. Willibrord in Antwerp on 1 August 1702. She was the daughter of Joannis Ferret and Catharina Ferret.

He was born about 1623 and was a member of the Coopers Guild in Antwerp BE. He died in Antwerp on 29 December 1678 as recorded at the St. Willibrord church. He married Maria in Antwerp abt 1648. She was born abt 1628 in Antwerp and died there on 26 December 1678 (St. Willibrord).

Gillis was the son of:

12. Johannes (Hans) van Schingen
Married to Maria Theeuws

He was baptized on 10 December 1585 at St. Andries op den Dries (Antwerp BE) and died in Antwerp on 15 October 1637. He was a brandy brewer in the Leghuytstraat on de Dries in Antwerp. When he died he left 600 guilders, 2 stuivers and a blanke. Maria was born abt 1590. After Hans died, her brother, Hans Teeuws became guardian over their children

He was born abt 1550 in Mechelen, BE and died in 1624 in Hombeek. His profession was under-sheriff at Rumpst as well as a alderman (schepen) at Rumpst. He first married Johanna van Bosstaeten, with whom he had no children. With his second wife, Anna van Schayborgh he had one daughter, Anna and several other children. He married his third wife, Johanna van Haecht, with whom he had the children listed to the right. She was the widow of Peter Voorspoels, and daughter of Willem van Haecht, cooper at Rumst, and Martha Verbert.

Gillis was the son of:

14. Gillis van Schengen

Married to Barbara Mathijs

He was born abt 1505 in Mechelen, BE and probably died there in 1558. He was ‘Master of the Cooks’ for Antoine de Lalaing, count of Hoogstraten and Culemborg.

After the death of Antoine de Lalaing in 1540, Gillis’ fortunes suffered. He had to mortgage his house and borrow money. He was first married to Dame Alyte Jans, with whom he had no children. However he did buy the house in the Augustinian street in Mechelen. His second marriage was to Barbara Mathijs. She died before 20 Jan 1562.

Gillis was the son of:

15. Gillis van Schengen, squire

Married to Anna Temsecke

He died in Mechelen on 24 Sep 1540 and was buried in the church of St. Peter there. The church stood at the end of the Augustinian street. Anna was born abt. 1475 and died on 9 Jul 1541 in Mechelen.

Gillis' first marriage was to N. van Borssele, with whom he had a daughter, Anna. With Anna Temsecke he had one son, Gillis, and one daughter, Margriete, named for his grandmother Margretha Ruychbrock.

Gillis was the son of:

Married to Margaretha Ruychrockz.

Margaretha was the daughter of Jan Ruychrockz van der Werve (died 1469) and Soete van Domburg, counselor for Philip of Bourgundy.

Margaretha later married Reynaut, bastard of Brederode and later still the bastard Van Cralingen.
With Aert she had two children:

Aert was the son of:

Married to Catharina van den Steyne.

Since both Lodewijk and Mattheus, the two older brothers of Jan had no legitimate male offspring, Jan's son, Aert, became lord of ‘s Heer-Arendskerke.

Married to Gertrude van Sabbinge.

He was lord of ‘s Heer-Arendskerke.
His son Louis (Lodewijk) is known for bringing Maria, daughter of king Jacobus of Scotland, over to marry Wolphaert VI van Borsselen, count of Grandpre, in 1443.
Louis succeeded his father as lord of ‘s-Heer-Arendskerke.

Willem was the son of:

Married to NN.

The nickname van der Goes stuck, because Arent was guardian over the heir of van Borsselen, and owner of Goes.
Arent died in 1183 and was buried in the church of 's-Heer-Arentskerke
The oldest son's offsping took on the name Schengen; the second son's descendents came to be know as Van Den Poele. However, when the oldest son's family died off, Willem's descendants took on the name "Schengen".
